Lauren Vopni
Lauren has a B.A. in Political Science and Art History from McGill University and a Photojournalism diploma from the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, B.C.
She has worked across Canada as a reporter, editor and photographer for a variety of print media publications and radio programs.
In addition to reporting, Lauren taught photojournalism to the youth of Leave Out Violence (LOVE) in Toronto and has facilitated workshops on media literacy organizations across the GTA.
She is currently on a seven-month internship with Journalists for Human Rights (www.jhr.ca) in Rwanda, where she is working as a youth media trainer at radio station Contact FM in Kigali, in partnership with the Rwanda Initiative.
